Last week I saw a young man giving up his seat to a woman with a baby in her arms on a bus. To my great surprise, the woman did not thank the young man; on the contrary, she glared at him coldly, which made him embarrassed. This incident set me thinking. If everyone acted like that woman, who would like to help others? And what would our society be like?If anyone gives you a hand, you should express your sincere gratitude to him or her. Only in this way will everyone be ready to help others and feel satisfied with it.

Suddenly an old man got on the bus. The driver said to the passengers, Please give the old man a seat. But nobody gave his seat to him.

My sister belongs to a folk dancing club in college. They meet twice a week at night. Their club has about thirty members from varying classes and departments. All the members love to dance because it is good exercise and fun. Also by studying folk dance they get to know each belong to this club, and they study together, too. My sister seems quite happy with her life in college, but she always says that college education is much more than folk dancing or going on a picnic; there are lots of serious things to learn.

Once I read the story that the little eagles needed to practice flying in the cliff before they could fly.

The successful ones could fly and became the strong birds while the failed ones would crash and then died. The mother eagles are brutal to the babies, but this is the price of growing up. The little eagles who fail to fly would not live long in the natural competition. It makes me think of the children, some parents spoil the kids and they don’t realize it will destroy their children. The children need to learn the lessons, so that they can be the tough person. The road of being mature needs the price.

英语高中作文400字篇6

Spring festival is a Chinese traditional holiday, but many people do not know the real meaning of this celebration. More and more people prefer to celebrate spring festival by watching the spring festival gala and ma-ki-ng lots of fireworks rather than get along with their relatives. I think the true meaning of this festival is that families get together to talk about each other. So, I suggest people spend more time with their family rather than pay too much attention to the TV or fireworks, because that is the spirit of the spring festival.
