For example, the thought of Confucius. As Chinese economy develops very fast and plays an important role in the world, more and more foreigners learn mandarin in Confucius institutions. The essence of Chinese traditional culture can be tested by the time. It units the whole nation and no matter what kinds of disaster comes, we will fight together for the country’s future. Today, many young people lose faith in traditional culture and they are crazy for the western culture. They follow the western fashion and think we are the old style. But some day, they will realize they are wrong to abandon traditional culture.

Life is not always going our way. We will meet all kinds of difficulties. When we are students, we have the study issues, we always want to do the best and make our parents be proud of us. But it is not easy, we may fail the exam now and then. When we become independent, we have to face the problem of making our living. Most people will change their jobs many times until they find the suitable one.

I had faith when I was in high school, I realize no matter how hard I work, I just could not be successful all the time. So I told myself not to give up and I would see the light soon. Thanks to this faith, I become a tough girl. I am so proud of myself.

The Moon Festival, always celebrated on August 15 of the lunar calendar, is one of the most traditional of Chinese holiday. It is several hundred years old and many beautiful tales about it have been handed down from generation to generation.

On this day we eat a special kind of pastry called Moon Cake--it represents the moon and also means family reunion. It has long been a practice in our family to get together for a small moonlight party at the New Park on the evening of August 15. Cousins and some friends sometimes join us.

Sitting or lying on the soft grass, some of us chat happily and others listen to music. And amidst shouts and laughter of children chasing around excitedly, I sit quietly at a corner watching the bright, beautiful moon.

I like the Chinese new year better than any other festival. This is a time especially for rest and joy. I need not study. I wear good clothes and eat good food. I have a good time from morning till night. To be frank with you, I am as happy as a king. The Chinese new year lasts as long as fifteen days. It gives us more pleasure than we have imagined. After that we have to（比用must来得好）resume our normal work.

Persistence can help us carve out a way to success. Although the way to success is bumpy and filled with inevitable setbacks, it is persistence that lead us to the destination we are eager to reach. To further demonstrate the importance of being persistent， I would like to take Thomas Edison as a case in point: how could he, one of the greatest inventor throughout the history of mankind who experienced numerous unsuccessful attempts, invent the first electric lamp without persistence?

Accordingly, at no time should we overlook the importance of persistence. when coming across hardships and setbacks , we need to grit our teeth and adhere to the faith that our efforts and persistence will be paid off. “Great works are performed not by strength, but by perseverance.” Samuel Johnson once said.

If I were a boy again, I would practice perseverance more often, and never give up a thing because it was or inconvenient. if we want light, we must conquer darkness. perseverance can sometimes equal genius in its results. “there are only two creatures,” says a proverb, “who can surmount the pyramids—the eagle and the snail.”

if i were a boy again, I would school myself into a habit of attention; i would let nothing come between me and the subject in hand. i would remember that a good skater never tries to skate in two directions at once.the habit of attention becomes part of our life, if we begin early enough. i often hear grown up people say “ i could not fix my attention on the sermon or book, although I wished to do so” , and the reason is, the habit was not formed in youth.

if I were to live my life over again, I would pay more attention to the cultivation of the memory. I would strengthen that faculty by every possible means, and on every possible occasion. it takes a little hard work at first to remember things accurately; but memory soon helps itself, and gives very little trouble. it only needs early cultivation to become a power.
