　　As the new bell tolled, the Chinese people exclaimed with excitement, "the New Year is here! New Year! Ah! What a wonderful New Year! I am excited to run back and forth in my home, unable to restrain my joyful mood, the Spring Festival composition 600 words. When I ran to the balcony, all of a sudden, the fireworks fly on the sky, in a flash, Fried opened, and some like countless meteor, some like colorful flowers, some like golden coat, and like the golden sun, the earth was like the day. 　　前两天，学校高年级举行了英语演讲比赛，我作为班上的代表之一，前去观摩。

　　这次比赛无论是主持还是演讲，都是全英文的。东看看，西看看，竟来了不少我认识的人。学校的几位老师来做评委，还有一位外教呢！

　　比赛开始。首先，是两位主持人一番简短的介绍，然后选手开始挨个儿上台。每个人都有一份课件，上面是演讲内容，选手要流畅地背出稿子，才能得高分。他们一口流利的英语，听得我云里雾里。我不由得感叹道，这就是差距啊！不过根据课件上的英文，我还是认出了一些单词。

　　选手的情况也不同：有的.一口英语说得头头是道，听得人一愣一愣的；有的上了台过于紧张，忘了词，又下来整理整理思绪再上台；也有的背得不错，却出了一点小插曲的……可谓是千姿百态。

　　选手们讲的内容各不相同：有的流畅地讲了那些经典的故事；有的介绍了自己喜欢的动物或东西；还有的讲了自己从一句话或者一件事中感悟的道理……内容各不相同。

　　通过这次比赛，我深切地体会到了：人外有人，天外有天。我要更加努力地学习英语哟！
