　　The festival is best known for its dragon-boat races,especially in the southern places where there are many rivers and lakes. Ití?s very popular.

　　The rice dumpling is made of glutinous rice,meat and so on. You can eat different kinds of rice dumplings.They are very delicious.

　　And Dragon Boat Festival is for Qu Yuan. He is an honest minister who is said to have netmitted suicide by drowning himself in a river.

　　The Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is a significant holiday celebrated in China, and the one with the longest history. The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated by boat races in the shape of dragons. Competing teams row their boats forward to a drumbeat racing to reach the finish end first.

　　The boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival are traditional customs to attempts to rescue the patriotic poet Chu Yuan. Chu Yuan drowned on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in 277 B.C. Chinese citizens now throw bamboo leaves filled with cooked rice into the water. Therefore the fish could eat the rice rather than the hero poet. This later on turned into the custom of eating tzungtzu and rice dumplings.

　　The celebration's is a time for protection from evil and disease for the rest of the year. It is done so by different practices such as hanging healthy herbs on the front door, drinking nutritious concoctions, and displaying portraits of evil's nemesis, Chung Kuei. 　　矮小的身材，高亢的嗓音，朴素的衣着，短而飘逸的乌发，这永远是我们班的"ET"——英语老师。"ET"虽然教我们的时间不长，可我依然对她那简而易懂的教学方式记忆犹新。

　　还记得那是上晨读"ET"在教室里面巡视，只听一声“奶油”我班同学立即兴奋了起来，咧开大嘴发出那种震天的笑——有人把Here are you读成了奶油，又听一声从鼻孔里发出来的“嗯——-”全班如见了鬼似的瞬间停了下来，老师把刘海一甩，紧皱眉头，这时，感觉所有的声音，甚至连心跳都停止了，“谁说的奶油”我班同学把手一齐指向那位同学。悲剧的一幕发生了：“你再说我就把你踹成奶油”一声怒吼发出。（这时全班都把笑憋住了）。现在回想都像母老虎发出的叫声，令人毛骨悚然。

　　记得那一天上学，我把作业本拿错了，不能及时交上作业。我想鼓起勇气向老师说明原委，但没出息的我始终不敢开口，经过很长时间的深思熟虑，终于，当老师在我身边经过时，把她叫住了。天哪，我竟然触及了老师的手，我呆住了，顿时感觉喘不上气来。跟触电的感觉一样，浑身发麻，跟老师对视了两秒钟后，老师板着面孔说：“有什么事吗？”我这才被惊醒，手迅速地移开，藏到背后去啦。“我，我的'作业忘—忘—带了，老师，能—能不能下午带。”我嗫嘘着。“为什莫没带？”“拿错作业本了。”我甚至听不到自己的声音。老师点了点头，又朝旁边多事的同学吼了一声：“看什么看，单词背熟了吗？”我顿时一愣。后来我发现，老师原来是因为为了保护我的自尊心，不让他人看我的笑话。“没事儿，下午交吧，先回去背诵”这一句话严而可亲，我像得到释放的囚徒，眼里流下了感动、惊喜的泪水。老师竟然这麽说。回到座位时，我浑身像散了架，轻飘飘的，但是，我的周围笼罩着一丝阳光。

　　下午，我急急忙忙的跑到老师办公室，把作业交到了老师手里，三步并作两步的飞出来了老师办公室，像一只小鸟，逃出了阴霾。

　　那时，我才发现，老师是世界上最伟大的人。父母给了我们身躯，老师给了我们灵魂。让我们每天都沐浴在书香里，在这第27个教师节里，我我向您说一声“老师，您辛苦了。”我忠诚的祝愿幸福和快乐化作繁星点点，永远向您招手。

　　my grandparents are still living, but they don’t live with us. their health is good and they both do sports very early in the morning. my grandmother does gymnastics with elderly women her age in the park. both of my grandfathers play basketball in the morning and sometimes they go swimming.chinese people eat rice for every meal, but i don’t like rice because i think it is tasteless! we eat meat, fish and vegetables. my family eats noodles and congee. my favorite is noodles.

　　It is quite understandable for parents to send their children to study overseas because they place high expectations on their children. They are encouraged by the success stories of those who have completed their overseas study. With the development of economy, companies and institutions at home are giving more and more emphasis on overseas experiences, too. Consequently, pursuing overseas study became a kind of short cut in gaining a better future. Moreover, there is still one underlying reason for this rush-economic reason. The rapid economic progress in the past few years in China has enabled more and more parents to afford the huge cost for their children’s overseas study.

　　As for me, overseas study is surely a helpful way to get both advanced knowledge and necessary experiences, but overseas study at an early age is neither necessary nor benef1cial. The students may be too young to either tend for themselves or think for themselves. I do think that overseas study can contribute to one’s self-improvement, but it’s better to be pursued after one has finished his college study at home, when he is more capable of learning and living on his own.
